The Marri Wood Park Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 fruit is picked from a biodynamically farmed single block on the family property, and is fermented in a combination of clay amphora, and French oak barrels with a portion left on its skins for a year.
The wine presents a deep, blackberry core with a vibrant cherry-red rim.
The nose is layered with classic blackcurrant and cassis, interwoven with dusty cedar, spice, and hints of leather.
On the palate, it is mid-weight yet structured, showcasing a refined balance of dark and red fruit. Fine, slightly gravelly tannins provide texture, while a touch of bitter cocoa and a distinctive herbal spice—reminiscent of Jägermeister—add complexity to the lingering finish.
